NBA Roundball Wrap-Up - Wednesday December 4th

Your favorite inconsistent NBA post is back from last year!  I never really had a full grasp on how to do this blog, but I think I have figured it out. There will be similar elements from Bucks Buzz, but in reality, it will be its own post on Wednesday (Or Thursday). I do not really have a time for when it will be up but there will be all sorts of random shit I happen to come across on the Internet plus some thoughts about the week that was.

Players of the Week
Stephen Curry - One of the brightest spots of the 2012 NBA Playoffs started off his season rough with a head and ankle injury yet his last three games have been excellent. In a losing effort against Oklahoma City on Friday, Curry had 32 points, eleven rebounds and five assists then followed it up with a big game against Sacramento where he had 36 points with 10 assists including going five of eight from 3-point range. Last night might have been his best effort leading Golden State back from a 27 point deficit to start the fourth quarter. Curry had 27 points with 10 assists making it the third straight game with a double-double. One of the big things to note about Steph is his assists total is up by 2.5 assists a game. That's extremely impressive for Curry. He will be an All-Star this year.

Arron Affalo - I USE TO BE JEALOUS OF ARRON AFFALO. Sure, many people had great weeks but this is more for Affalo's season. For the season, Affalo is averaging 22 points which is 12 points above his average for his career. Additionally, he is shooting 46 percent from three which is eight points higher than he has done for his career. The exclamation point to put him in this spot was the double overtime effort against Philadelphia last night where he had 43 points, six rebounds, five assists and 5/13 from three leading Orlando in an overtime win. Affalo is an All-Star, no question about it.

'I am not mad, I am disappointed' Coach of the Week
Jason Kidd - Man, where to start with J-Kidd here. Let's begin on Wednesday night when he made
Tyshawn Taylor run into him causing him to spill his drink leading to getting an extra timeout he did not have and now he fired Lawrence Frank, one of the more well-respected coaches in the league. On top of all that, Brooklyn keeps losing basketball games.  This looks like a complete disaster. I would be okay with people saying 'Give it time, Kidd does not know any better' but the fact of the matter, this is not Milwaukee Bucks where they have a bunch of young guys mixed with some seasoned veterans; they have a team full of veterans that they traded for and want to win right now. Pure dumpster fire and a bigger one than New York's current disaster.

Team of the Week
Denver Nuggets - The first time ever on the new Roundball Wrap-up to earn both spots on team of the week. Denver did it in a full month. They have railed off seven straight victories and it seems like the Nuggets are just fine. They are fourth in scoring, fourth in rebounding and still suck at playing defense so basically same old Denver team.  Couple things I like about this current seven-game win streak... 1.) It is mostly on the road so they are not doing at the Pepsi Center where they have been dominant in the past couple years. 2.) Timofey Mosgov is playing his ass off right now with a 17 points 20 rebound game last night and had 16  points and 15 rebounds in the first two games where he got 30 minutes therefore this hashtag matters.... #FREEMOSGOV

Team of the Weak
Minnesota Timberwolves - Not a horrible week for Minnesota, and let's be honest, I cannot keep picking New York or Brooklyn. The T-Wolves are 3-7 in their last 10 games and they have lost to some good teams in the process which some would not see as a big deal, but I do. Minnesota needs to prove on a consistent basis they are ready for primetime against top competition in the Western Conference. It is a bloodbath, and every game matters in the West compared to Eastern Conference where you could play hungover for most of them and still be a seventh seed. When Kevin Martin has been your top scorer in a lot of those games, that might be a slight problem.

SnoTap Medical Injury Report
Everyone is breaking their hands - This is pretty crazy what's happening in the NBA injury world as all sorts of NBA players broke their hand over the weekend into the week. By far, Anthony Davis is the biggest one probably altering his All-Star hopes and New Orleans' record in the next four to six games. Paul Pierce breaking his hand does not help Brooklyn's disaster of a season. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist also broke his hand last night. This is obviously just a weird injury week where every key player has the same sort of injury.

This Week in GIFs, Vines, Instagrams, Videos, Links, Pictures and anything else

Jamal Crawford saves it from being a lame week with him crossing over Lance Stephenson in the most disrespectful manner. Too bad he missed the shot.

Dante Cunningham, T-Wolves bench player decided it would be a good idea to get a small semi-like truck as his new car and pimp it out. Honestly, one of my favorite non-Marquette Big East players to watch in the past five years.

Charlie.
