Tap's Trailers: Best Night Ever
I honestly would sell low on this movie. There is not much here to really like about this movie. The assumption will be it will be over-the-top, overtly raunchy and probably a lot of WTF moments throughout it. I do not like it being filmed from one of the characters' perspective. I mean I get the idea that if you were in Las Vegas, it is likely you do not remember much unless it is on video. But at the same time, I really do not think it creates a positive viewer experience. I am also not going to ride with a movie where the directors and writers of this movie created classics like Date Movie, Meet The Spartans, Disaster Movie. They did write the original Scary Movie, but it has been downhill from there.

First Taste: The Worst Guys - Childish Gambino (Feat. Chance The Rapper)
I guess Because The Internet leaked on Monday, and I probably need to get my paws on it although I think I am going to wait to pay for it due to my fondness for Gambino. Yes I am worried the album might not reach my expectations, and this song does not really help things. You see Gambino and Chance The Rapper together making you think these two would make beautiful music together, but it does not really happen. Chance is at the beginning of the song, but Gambino does not let him spit over the beat which is something seen in hip-hop with younger rappers getting on album tracks of bigger artists yet I do not know if there is that big of a gap between these two right now.

Closing Time: Two Lips - Joey Bada$$ (Prod. J Dilla)
If you follow Sports News on Tap's pop culture department, you know I post most things about Joey Bada$$ with the reason being I feel like he is one of the best young rappers in the game, and it is only a matter of time before he will find his way to the mainstream. There is just no way he will not get the push at some point. In this song, he goes over one of the world famous beats from J Dilla, one of the biggest hip-hop producers of all time. Listening to Bada$$ work on Dilla's beat makes you sad they could not get together to do a whole album because it would be a bonafide classic. Bucks Buzz: Monday December 2nd
The Bucks Buzz is a bi-weekly SnoTap post featuring Charlie Tritschler and Mitch Pratt. Charlie writes the Monday post while Mitch handles Thursday. This could change, but they both bring a unique style to the post.
Friday: Charlotte 92 Milwaukee 76 - For the second time in two weeks, Milwaukee suffered a double-digit loss to Charlotte. This time it was on the road, but the story was the same really for Milwaukee. They could not stop Al Jefferson whom went for 23 points and 12 rebounds. Former Buck Ramon Sessions had eleven points and a PER of +19 raising the question as to why Session always puts up good numbers against Milwaukee? Milwaukee was dominated on the glass as Bobcats pulled down 16 offensive rebounds and for the game, Charlotte had 54 boards compared to Milwaukee's 38. People want guys like John Henson and Giannis Antetokounmpo to play more, but they need to rebound better if Milwaukee wants to win games. Good to see Brandon Knight have his most productive night as a Buck to date scoring 17 points making seven of eleven shots.

Saturday: Milwaukee 92 Boston 85 - I GET TO WRITE ABOUT A BUCKS WIN. I understand people want the Bucks to tank and I do too, but it is nice to see a team win especially when the whole state of Wisconsin took a massive dump over the weekend in terms of sports. With a limited roster as Caron Butler and Ersan Ilyasova out with injury, the young players were asked to step up and they did breaking the eleven game losing streak. John Henson got the ability to start and he responded with 13 points and 13 rebounds with three blocks. Giannis had his best game of the season with 10 points and seven rebounds. We have been clamoring for the young guys to play more, and maybe this is the proof Larry Drew needs to do it more often. I would be remiss if I did not talk about Knight whom followed up his Charlotte performance with his best Bucks outing getting a near triple-double with 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Right now, this is the funniest Vine I have ever seen. Gerald Henderson had a great game for Charlotte on Friday, but he also that nailed a lady directly in the face. Absolutely hilarious, I laughed multiple times watching it over and over again. (H/T @CardboardGerald)
At the Celtics-Bucks game, a younger fan made some signs like 'Brad Stevens seems like a nice guy.' And a taunt to Rajon Rondo's free-throw shooting by shouting out The Starters' Leigh Ellis. We need more of these fans at Bucks games.

What to Watch
I am very interested in Brandon Knight's development. In the last two games, he played his two best games of the season. He did tweak his hamstring last Wednesday, but with a couple days off, he should be raring to go against Boston again on Tuesday night. If he starts consistently giving Milwaukee 13-15 points, five to seven assists, Bucks are an entirely different teams.

Brandon Jennings returns to Milwaukee on Wednesday night. Mitch Pratt will be at the game for work so say hi to him if you see him. They also take on Boston again Tuesday this time in Beantown.

Ron Burgundy Anchors a North Dakota broadcast
Ron Burgundy also known as Will Ferrell is everywhere these days in preparation for Anchorman 2. He did the news in North Dakota and announced a curling event in Canada over the weekend. It is to the point where you wonder if it is too much. John Feitelberg made the point about how 'he couldn't quit Ron Burgundy' and I feel the same way. Even if I probably put Anchorman 2 third on my list of movies I want to see during the Christmas season. (1. Wolf on Wall Street, 2. American Hustle), I still like seeing Burgundy everywhere. He is going to be on Dan Patrick Show on Thursday for two hours of the show, which should be pretty funny. The movie might be bad, I think there is a very good chance of it, but at the same time, the Burgundy character is one of the best ever. (H/T Barstool Sports)

The Curious Case of Joel Stave
Wisconsin Badgers football will always be known as a team who runs the football. But they still need a quarterback to do some competent things in order for Wisconsin to win games especially when the defense is not performing to its highest ability. Joel Stave regressed in the second half of the season and it continued on Saturday when Wisconsin lost to Penn State, 31-24. The Badgers quarterback deserves some criticism today as well as their offensive coordinator and how much can be blamed on youthful experience?
The bizarre thing about Stave's day against Penn State is he had a career high in pass compeltions with 29 and a career high in passing yards with 339. But at the same point, Stave had a career high in passing attempts with 53 as well as his first three interception game of his young career. The statistics do not really show Stave's day at Camp Randall. Many balls sailed over receivers' head who were open as well as missing open receivers. Stave could have had the same amount of yardage with less attempts, but he could not capitalize when Penn State gave him a chance.

With how Wisconsin runs the football, Stave getting 300 yards is not really that important. What's more important is his completion percentage. When Stave is at his best, his completion percentage is around 70 percent which he achieved in games against Illinois and BYU. For the season, Stave is only at 61 percent which is slightly above average. This is what made Scott Tolzien an ideal Badgers quarterback with his ability to complete passes at an efficient rate as he was around 70 percent in his final year as Badgers quarterback. Although Stave does not deserve all of the criticism in this one as offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig definitely should be questioned for his play calling.
There were multiple situations where Wisconsin faced a 3rd and short, and the decision was to pass the football. James White and Melvin Gordon are two of the best running backs in the nation; there is zero reason to be passing the football in that situation. The art of surprise is completely overblown in offensive play calling ranging from high school to professional sports especially when your team has a strength over another squad. Catching a team off-guard once is nice, but not multiple times in a football game. Yes, some of Ludwig's play calls happened due to Wisconsin being down 17 points, but still the fact remains, Stave passed much more before Penn State got out to their double-digit lead.
My dad is an eternal sports optimist more so than I am and said to me after Saturday's game, 'Do not criticize Stave on Monday, you will be making a mistake.' He continued explaining how Stave will develop and mature into a better quarterback in the following year. I am 50/50 right now with him. This is only his first full year of starting at quarterback as he went down with a broken collarbone mid-season, therefore it could mean we are one year away from seeing what the real Joel Stave could be next season. The assumption would be head coach Gary Andersen would probably keep him as the starter for the 2014 season although I do think he needs to play adequately in the bowl game against likely an SEC squad.
The reason why Stave needs to at least have a decent performance is the future has not been brighter for Wisconsin at the quarterback position. If Stave struggles again, it opens the door for redshirt freshman Bart Houston and incoming freshman Austin Kafentzis, two of the biggest quarterback recruits in Wisconsin football history. Now Houston said before the season he would not transfer, but I have to wonder if he might think about it during the offseason with the highly touted Kafentzis coming to Madison. There is a slight chance we could see an all out quarterback competition as we saw with this team last season.
While 2013 ended on a down note, it was an encouraging season for the Badgers. Andersen stepped into a situation where they lost Montee Ball, three Rose Bowl appearances, lost some starters on the defensive end and notched nine wins for Wisconsin in his first year. The future is real bright with this team on both sides of the ball and I am on the fence whether Stave will be a part of it.
