NFL Picks Week 10: Shootout City

Seattle (8-1) (-6) at Atlanta (2-6) 12:00 pm FOX - At the beginning of the year, everyone circled this game on the schedule as a rematch of the NFC Divisional round. People think Atlanta might be able to pull of the upset here, and I cannot see it honestly. Atlanta's defense is putrid. They are not good at all. Matt Ryan's head's more screwed up than Schmidt from New Girl, and the one thing Seattle is not good at, stopping the run, Atlanta cannot do. Seattle takes this one. SEA 30-17

Detroit (5-3) at Chicago (5-3) (PICK EM) 12:00 pm FOX - This is a true definition of a PICK EM. I have no idea who to pick in this one. On one hand, Chicago brings Jay Cutler back and the team seems to be hitting on all cylinders on offense. They also have a pitiful rush defense that Reggie Bush can make say uncle pretty quickly. The other hand, we have Detroit. Matthew Stafford really does not have that signature win and this could be it especially if Green Bay loses, does he actually make it happen?  It comes down  to who makes the least amount of mistakes as both quarterbacks throw a bevy of interceptions. I am taking Chicago and their pathetic rush defense. CHI 37-31

Philadelphia (4-5) at Green Bay (-1) 12:00 pm FOX - Check out the Packer preview. I might get a playlist up but it depends on some thangs.

Jacksonville (0-8) at Tennessee (4-4) (-13) 12:00 pm CBS - I think Jacksonville can win this game and I have no idea why. Maybe it is because I have St. Louis as the third or fourth worst team right now and the Titans struggled with them last week especially in the run game. I expect a big game from Maurice Jones-Drew, but will it be enough for the Jaguars first win? Probably not. Jacksonville cannot stop the run either so another big game from Chris Johnson is in the works. TEN 24-17

St. Louis (3-6) at Indianapolis (6-2) (-10) 12:00 pm FOX - Zac Stacy appears to be the real deal for St. Louis which is encouraging when Rams get back to full health in 2014. He is one of the bigger surprises of the 2013 season thus far. Andrew Luck is having a great sophomore campaign. It showed last week against Houston when he carried his team back to victory. I doubt he will have to do it in this one, but I will say Luck will face some serious pressure with the Rams front-seven. I think this one is somewhat closer than the spread. IND 28-20

Oakland (3-5) at New York Giants (2-6) (-7.5) 12:00 pm CBS - Interesting game here. How is this so? Well, there are the Giants who everyone thinks still has a shot at the playoffs, and the noise will get louder with a victory. They have had two weeks to prepare for this one. Oakland coming off a brutal beat down by Philadelphia where they gave up more through the air than a coast-to-coast flight.  Oakland still showed flashes of a good team this season though. I contend New York is not a good football team. I do not buy into this playoff bullshit, give me Oakland outright. OAK 23-14

Buffalo (3-6) at Pittsburgh (2-6) (-3) 12:00 pm CBS - E.J. Manuel makes his triumphant return to this team. Manuel looked like he could have been on his way to a Rookie of the Year title before going down with injury in Week 4. Buffalo attempted to keep their head above water in the process. They would have beat Kansas City if Jeff Tuel was competent at playing quarterback. Pittsburgh showed many dents in their system last week. They looked old on both sides of the football and that's not good one bit. This game features one team that looks like they have six losses and one that doesn't. The latter wins it. BUF 20-17

Cincinnati (6-3) (-1) at Baltimore (3-5) 12:00 pm CBS - This team could define either team's season. We have Baltimore where they need this win as bad as anyone in Week 10. They are hearing it from all corners with Ray Rice's struggles and Joe Flacco's inability to get the team down the field. Cincinnati is the model of inconsistency as once you think they might be a borderline Super Bowl contender, they go and lose to Miami. They now head into what could be a lion's den and I am not ready to give up on Baltimore just yet. BALT 23-21

Carolina (5-3) at San Francisco (6-2) (-6) 3:05 pm FOX - I have a weird feeling about this game. San
Francisco has been doing it recently with smoke and mirrors meaning they really have not played anyone substantial since Week 2 against Seattle. Colin Kaepernick is still doing it with his legs, yet has not been great through the air. This is a big statement game for Cam Newton facing a tough defense and a hostile environment. Newton has to keep his composure out there especially in the first two quarters of the game. San Francisco needs to run the football. Carolina is the best at stopping the run. I am betting on Carolina's defense. CAR 24-20

Houston (2-6) at Arizona (4-4) (-3) 3:25 pm CBS - Case Keenum had an impressive performance for the first half of last night's game, but now he sees a tough as sandpaper secondary with Patrick Peterson leading the charge. Keenum will need to limit his mistakes. Arizona has teetering on being an above average to below average team with every game. One thing Houston has going for them is they limit the pass in terms of yardage, but they cannot force turnovers. They are tied with Green Bay with only three interceptions. At some point, I feel like Houston will win some football games yet this is not the game. ARIZ 20-16

Denver (7-1) (-7) at San Diego (4-4) 3:25 pm CBS - I cannot put my finger on this game. I see San Diego's weak secondary and think Peyton Manning could go absolutely bananas in this one. Further, Denver had an extra week to prepare for the Chargers which works to their advantage. I do not think it is fair to judge Denver without John Fox until we see a game in action. I think this game tells us a lot about San Diego because if the Chargers keep it close, they are in the discussion for being a playoff team and if they get blown out at home, they are pretty average. I am going with the former as they lose a close high-scoring game. DEN 38-33

Dallas (5-4) at New Orleans (6-2) (-7) 7:30 pm NBC - I love Dallas on Sunday night. The reason why is we always see some weird shit. The Romocoaster is in full effect. They head to New Orleans against their former Defensive Coordinator. I love this matchup for some reason. I feel like the Saints could go bananas against a weaker than believed Dallas defense yet at the same time, Dallas has enough offense to compete in this one. I cannot pick against New Orleans in a night game where their fanbase will be drunker than full day at The Pickle in Eau Claire. Close, fun game. NO 34-30

Miami (4-4) (-3) at Tampa Bay (0-8) 7:30 pm ESPN - This game will be very annoying because  most of the talk will be about Johnathan Martin, Tampa Bay's own issues and everything under the sun besides football. I think there is a time and place for those things yet not when a game is going on.  I will take Miami but I honestly do not know what to expect here. MIA 21-17

Charlie.
